Vice has been running a hilarious (and sobering) column for years now called London Rental Opportunity of the Week, which I stumbled on a few days ago; the author is hanging up his shingle and wrote a kiss-off to all landlords everywhere.
Ha ha ha. An artist named Mitch McConnell (not that Mitch McConnell) crowdfunded a They Live-inspired billboard in Times Square, which is currently up for display. The best part is that the billboard says “Paid for by Mitch McConnell” at the bottom. If he gets more contributions, he’ll keep it up longer. I love this. (via)

File this under You Can’t Make This Shit Up: Ernst & Young, an international accounting firm, was fined $100M by the SEC after they found that employees were cheating on an ethics exam for over four years.
A significant number of EY professionals who did not cheat but knew their colleagues did, and facilitated the cheating, also violated the firm’s code of conduct by failing to report it.
I am shocked.

I parked next to a fellow survivor from the 70’s this morning.
Had some friends over to get the Travelall started. We got it to catch but not completely turn over. Further investigation of the distributor is warranted. But, the aftermarket A/C, cruise control and some of the trailer brake system has been removed. And there was coffee, donuts, beer and pizza with great friends I haven’t seen in a long while. All in all, an excellent way to spend a chilly Saturday.
