Saturday was teardown day on the green truck. All the doors and windows came off, the entire front clip was saved, and now I’m pulling the rear quarter panels off for safekeeping before it gets hauled away. Before you protest, the frame is pretty ragged, the entire passenger section is Swiss cheese and the engine is seized, so I’ve pulled almost every good part off this thing that I can.

I’m almost done tearing the green truck down for parts after a solid week of work. Now to find someone who will haul it away for me.

I forgot to post this on Monday when everybody’s socials were flooded with eclipse pictures. I was more interested in the Teenager’s reaction: it was great to see that look of wonder light up her face. Thanks to @jenjive for overnighting the glasses to us. (I suppose I could have just busted out the welding helmets, but that’s not very photogenic, is it?)

I found this ancient pulltab can of Genesee under the bench seat of the parts truck yesterday. Rochester, NY’s finest, out of a truck from Pennsylvania by way of Colorado.
