Is anyone else alarmed by how batshit crazy Michael Steele is sounding these days?
“…I just don’t understand this idea that somehow people think that the federal government can enter into a marketplace and compete with private industry.”

This should be required reading for, well, pretty much everybody who complains about our current fiscal mess. The GOP’s Misplaced Rage. A snippet:
“Until conservatives once again hold Republicans to the same standard they hold Democrats, they will have no credibility and deserve no respect. They can start building some by admitting to themselves that Bush caused many of the problems they are protesting.”
This is good stuff: The Odd Lies of Sarah Palin. All the “misstatements” collected in one place. On a related note: Sarah Palin Is Not Stupid. I used to make the mistake of saying she is a crazy, stupid woman; I am in fact afraid of the idea that people take her seriously, but it’s better to respectfully disagree with almost everything that comes out of her mouth than call her names.
AP: Stevens Loses Alaska Senate Race. Sweet justice. They should now throw this asshat out onto the tundra and paintball him from helicopters.
Change.gov, a website put up by the Obama campaign. If they use this to its fullest potential, this could be a game-changing tool for his presidency.
Palin’s Nightmare. HA! This is so funny, it’s criminal. This dumb broad needs to get some book learnin’, dontcha think?
Attacks, praise stretch truth at GOP convention – From the AP newswire, an good point-by-point rebuttal to the speechifying last night. (via)
Coffee Terrorism. Anyone who thinks that wearing a kaffiyeh promotes terrorism really just needs to die. Personally, I find Rachael Ray’s carnivorous Joker grin more frightening than a scarf.
I didn’t see this back on the 5th, but the Maryland tech tax was repealed. Halleleujah, amen.
Your tax dollars at work: U.S. Funded Health Search Engine Blocks ‘Abortion’ as a search term. I used to work for a sister organization of the School of Public Health, and a more dedicated, passionate group of people I have never met. I’d bet a few people have resigned over this idiotic decision.
